The Feldenkrais Method® was developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, an eminent physicist, mechanical engineer and world-class judo practitioner in the 1950s. By developing awareness of unnecessary muscular effort, you'll discover better patterns of movement and discard old ones that contribute to tension and stress. This method is for anyone who wants to expand their capabilities, move with ease and grace, and live to their full potential. It is also ideal for people with injuries, chronic pain and neuromuscular difficulties.
Feldenkrais is taught through Awareness Through Movement® (ATM) classes and one-on-one Functional Integration® (FI) sessions. ATM® lessons are experiments in changing patterns and discovering how the entire body is involved in movement. They awaken your kinesthetic curiosity and entice the nervous system to make discoveries and changes.
